This position assures the provision of high quality and safe patient care both to our Veterans who are admitted to one of the Surgical services as well as provision of a 24/7 in-house Emergency Response model staffed by Attending Surgical Intensivists. SICU coverage on a rotating schedule with other critical care physicians Ward, ED and OR consultation to Surgical and Anesthesia Services Provide direct patient care in the Intensive Care Units Enters notes electronically in a paperless medical record system (CPRS) Serves as a consulting physician in inpatient and emergency department settings Works effectively with patients and coworkers.
