Northwell Health is seeking a full-time BC/BE Pediatric Hospitalist or Pediatrician to join the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH), a teaching hospital of the Zucker SOM at Hofstra Northwell, CUNY SOM and Touro SOM. Highlights include:
The Department of Pediatrics has a 20-bed in-patient unit, a level II trauma center, a PICU, a level III NICU, 3,000 annual newborn deliveries and a busy Pediatric Emergency Department. Our Pediatric Residency program is fully accredited by the ACGME.
Administrative, supervisory, and teaching responsibilities include supervision of Pediatric residents and medical students and participation in our core educational programming, including simulation and development of research/quality improvement projects.
Founded in 1861, SIUH is a 714-bed, specialized teaching hospital located in New York City’s fastest growing borough. Occupying two large campuses, plus a number of community-based health centers, the hospital provides quality care to people from Staten Island, the New York metropolitan region, other states and around the world.
Staten Island, the third largest borough in New York City, is home to diverse neighborhoods, parks, natural areas, and cultural attractions. It is right over the bridge from either Brooklyn or New Jersey; Manhattan can be reached via “the Ferry”, or in less than 30 minutes via car. “The small town in the Big City” affords suburban living within the confines of the Big Apple - the best of both worlds! Wherever you roam, you will encounter breathtaking views, world class culture and education and a neighborhood to fit every palate.
Northwell Health has 23 hospitals and more than 750 outpatient locations throughout the Metro New York area and beyond. Serving over 11 million people, Northwell Health is one of the largest and most diverse academic medical centers in the nation. In addition to the renowned tertiary clinical resources that we offer, our faculty also enjoys access to the scholastic and research resources of the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research.
We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package. Academic appointment to the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine is commensurate with credentials and experience.
