The Children’s Clinic is looking to hire a pediatrician to join our practice in Billings, Montana. Both full-time (4 days per week) and part-time (anything less than 4 days a week) applicants are welcome to apply, as are new and experienced physicians. We are lucky to have been trusted by families in our community for generations. We are looking for engaged, high quality pediatricians to help us continue this commitment to our patients.

Call is shared between 13 pediatricians, with full-time hires only doing 1-2 overnights per month. The call obligation will end at the end of 2023. After hours calls are triaged by a pediatric nurse service.

Highlights include being a data-driven practice that follows AAP/Bright Futures guidelines, conducts PCR COVID/flu/RSV and strep testing in house and installed negative pressure rooms to provide the highest level of safe care during the pandemic, utilizes spirometry for asthma diagnosis and management, produces some of the best pediatric vaccination rates in the state, employs a lactation consultant whose services are offered free-of-charge to all newborn moms, and is always looking to improve how we care for our patients

  Practice Setting

  Billings, Montana is the medical, financial, and industrial hub of a three-state area that includes Wyoming and North Dakota. At 110,000 residents, Billings is the largest city in Montana and boasts two colleges, a vibrant downtown, great restaurants, many craft breweries and distilleries, and a very strong medical community that draws patients from across Montana and northern Wyoming. It’s surrounded by the great outdoors – we’re Big Sky Country, after all! Billings is framed by the Yellowstone River along the city’s southern edge and high sandstone cliffs – called the Rimrocks or “Rims” – to the north. Multiple mountain ranges can be viewed from the clinic’s windows.

  Mountain biking, hiking and backpacking, whitewater rafting, camping, and world-class fly fishing are just a few of the outdoor activities at your fingertips. In the winter, three ski resorts are less than three hours away – and Red Lodge Mountain Resort is just an hour from Billings.

  Children’s Clinic is a full-service pediatric practice dedicated to delivering top-quality care to children from birth through their teenage years. Our practice has earned a reputation for excellence in the region and is the only independently owned pediatric practice in Billings. Our team of highly skilled, board-certified pediatricians and our adolescent health nurse practitioner provides personalized, unrushed care.

  As an independent practice, the Children’s Clinic has the flexibility to respond to a wide range of patient needs while giving our pediatricians autonomy to craft their schedules and their patient care to match each pediatrician’s unique practice style. Because of our size, we can provide excellent care and meet patients’ needs by offering expanded hours (including evening and weekend clinics) without compromising our physician’s ability to take care of their own families and find balance outside of the clinic.

  Beyond patient care, we work hard to build an active, intentional, and positive culture. Our vision is “always better; never perfect,” which allows us to pursue excellence, while offering grace to each other. We make hiring decisions based as much on cultural fit as clinical competence.
