A Hospitalist is an Internal medicine physician trained to cover all practices and all disciplines to provide specialized care for patients during their hospital stay. Hospitalists serve as the physicians-of-record for inpatients, during which time they accept hospitalized patients, returning the patients back to the care of their primary care providers at the time of hospital discharge. To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirements as well as any additional requirements (if applicable) listed in the job announcement. Applicants pending the completion of training or license requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
