The Medical Provider is responsible for the provision of comprehensive HIV/AIDS health care to all patients, as well as some primary care to those patients with no PCP or requiring that level of care at the time of the visit.

Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) or Nurse Practitioner in addition to American Academy of HIV Medicine Specialty Certification or comparable experience/training combination
A valid Arizona medical or advanced practice nursing license and a federal DEA license.
Experience in quality assurance, and current trends in health care, particularly in infectious disease.
Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to exchange or convey information with coworkers, supervisor, staff, patients and Board of Directors.
Current CPR certification, Hep B, MMR.
SCOPE OF WORK
Examines patients and conducts appropriate tests to determine medical condition/status and to diagnose illness. Determines corrective action to pursue in eliminating illness, disease or injury, prescribes appropriate medications, implements treatment program and/or refers patient to other medical facilities
Advises patients on diet, hygiene and preventative health care practices to ensure optimum health.
Meets regularly with Medical Director and Medical Case Managers for client assessments
Performs other duties necessary for patient care
Participates in call coverage for other providers
Handles after-hours, weekends client emergencies as needed
Other duties as assigned

The Medical Provider works in conjunction with the Medical Director and under the direction of the Executive Director.
