Overview The Womenas Health team are seeking to hire an OBGYN Hospitalists at Morristown Medical Center. The OBGYN Hospitalists will be responsible for management of Maternity and GYN patients only. The role will maintain a collaborative relationship with voluntary medical staff members, AMG physicians, and nursing.
Morristown Medical Center offers:

Maternal-Fetal Medicine department for convenient ultrasounds and consults
Neonatal Intensive Care Unity Level 2
The surgery block time is provided to support surgical requirements.
The Full time OB Hospitalists will cover 14 twelve hour shifts a month

Responsibilities Responsibilities & Duties
1. High Reliability Position
Unit leader/Role model
Prioritization of safety
Proactive behavior with continual presence on the unit
Situational awareness with anticipation, early detection and response to prevent catastrophic consequences
Collaborative relationship with voluntary medical staff members, AMG physicians, nursing and residents
2. Management of Maternity Patients:
Documentation and introduction to all patients on L&D
Involvement, including examination and documentation of in-person exams on patients who have or develop a complication during their admission; this should occur several times during the day.
Management involvement on all patients on L&D and Mother/Baby who undergo a significant change in clinical status and documentation of the events and the intervention
Collaboration and involvement with providers regarding care of the patients with documentation of conversations/management plans
Documentation of in-person exams of patients
3. Management of Gyn patients/ ER Coverage:
Responsibility for consults and management of Gyn patients
Documentation of care of these patients, including plan of care and in-person examinations
Documentation of in-person exams.
