Temple VA Out-patient (OP) clinic serves about 7,000 Veterans. The Clinic Director will supervise 7 PACT Teams. Temple VA OP clinic also serves a Women's health Population for which adequate coverage and supervision is warranted. This is an open continuous announcement. The incumbent reports to the Associate Chief of Staff (ACOS) for Ambulatory Care and works very closely with other services in this facility. Timely access to care, including face-to-face appointments, is of prime importance and the successful implementation of the PACT model of care would be one of the major tasks of the incumbent. The incumbent will also provide comprehensive primary care for our Veteran population including obtaining patient histories; performing physical exams; formulating a working diagnosis; and developing and implementing a treatment plan according to clinical guidelines. The incumbent is responsible to ensure high quality care and is responsible for outpatient performance measures. Clinic Access, Ambulatory Care Sensitive Condition and Health Effectiveness Data and Information Set Measures are a priority for the Clinic Director. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or as agreed upon. NOTE: Candidates must be willing to work weekends, irregular work hours and extended hours. The candidate must be willing to be assigned to other related services and/or locations, if necessary. This is a Non-Bargaining Unit position. Position may remain open until filled.
