Dermatologists are responsible for the oversight of all aspects of dermatology medical care delivered to patients under their care including Dermatology procedures. Other functions/duties include, but are not limited to: Evaluate the patient to assess changes in the physical status during inpatient or outpatient care via in-person exams or telemedicine care. Document every encounter into the electronic medical record, with the appropriate level of detail, with an assessment and plan for ongoing care. Review any notes written by the fellow, resident, student or midlevel providers under Dermatology supervision, with corrections and additions added in an attending note, as appropriate and in a manner consistent with the VA guidelines for trainee supervision. Involved in continuous quality improvement and the VA peer review process. Responsible for graduate and undergraduate medical education, and scientific research as appropriate. Respond to all urgent assessments requested from any location in the hospital or on-site outpatient clinics and services. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday: 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM.
