PSYCHIATRIST - DIRECTOR OF MULTIDISCIPLINARY EDUCATION (OPEN RANK)
DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHIATRY AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine seeks applicants for the position of Director of Multidisciplinary Education within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. This position will have a role in the educational, clinical, administrative, and scholarly activities of the department. The selected candidate will oversee the education and participate in the didactic teaching and instruction of international medical students, Masters in Physician Assistant Studies students, psychiatry residents, and other trainees as well as serve as the Site Director for the FIU-American University of Antigua clinical clerkship certificate program. The Director of Multidisciplinary Education shall also provide direct evaluation and treatment of patients along with clinical teaching at the FIU Health practice outpatient sites. The Director of Multidisciplinary Education is also expected to participate in scholarly activities.
Minimum qualifications include a terminal degree in the medical sciences (MD or DO with training in allopathic psychiatry residency). Must have an unrestricted license or license eligible to practice medicine in the State of Florida and board certification in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) or obtain Board Certification within one (1) year of employment. Demonstration of active involvement in clinical practice, continuing medical education, regional and national professional organizations, and scholarly activities are highly desired.
