Provide assistance in the REACH HEI Workforce Allied Health program in the areas of data input, student contacts, program set up and recordkeeping.
This position is required to conduct business in a professional and cordial manner that will uphold the integrity and reputation of Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine (GCSOM). This position maintains a thorough working knowledge of and adheres to the policies, regulations and procedures of GCSOM.
SPECIFIC POSITION DUTIES:
Keeps program information current on the website and in a program communications.
Provides sufficient oversight to ensure that all students are properly supervised and following program requirements.
Prepares written annual assessments of student progress for each student.
Assists in the supervision of mentors. Provides schedules, contacts mentors and conducts surveys.
Track communications with students regarding college and career planning.
Maintain spreadsheets and records of participants.
Schedule rooms and common spaces.
Receives emails and phone calls.
Follow up with student concerns.
Provide general administrative support to the Program Administrator.
Execute special projects as assigned to meet the mission of the program.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Requires good organizational and communication skills.
Ability to use Microsoft Office programs and Google tools.
Knowledge of arts integration, educational technologies and/or maker education is helpful.
Experience working with students in middle school and high school.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Presently attending an accredited college required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in an office environment. Position may involve driving as required based on organizational structure.
