POSITION TITLE: Division Chief of Orthopedic Surgery - Dignity Health Medical Group - AZ (DHMG-AZ). REPORTS TO : Academic Chairman, Surgery - DHMG ABOUT THE POSITION: This position is available to highly qualified individuals at the rank of Associate Professor and Professor, with fellowship training in orthopedic trauma and/or adult reconstruction, and a significant record of clinical, educational, and research success. The Division of Orthopedic Surgery, a Division within the Department of Surgery - Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG)-AZ, provides comprehensive patient care in the following areas: orthopedic trauma, adult reconstruction (hip and knee, shoulder and elbow), hand and upper extremity, and sports medicine. Through the Creighton School of Medicine, The Dignity Health Medical Group Division of Orthopedics will build an academic program with the leadership of this individual. Research activities are conducted in each of the specialty areas. The residency program will be accredited by the Residency Review Committee of the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education. Fellowship opportunities will develop as necessary with appropriate faculty and leadership. DHMG - AZ is looking for their new leader in orthopedic surgery to build a new division; and, - Re-establish the legacy of musculoskeletal service line at Dignity Health St. Joseph's Medical Center in Phoenix Arizona
- Lead and build an orthopedic surgery service line at one of the busiest and most prominent hospitals in the Southwest, affiliated with the Barrow's Institute - a top ranked neurosurgery center of excellence and the Norton Thoracic Institute, one of the busiest transplant programs in the country.

REQURIEMENTS: - MD or DO Degree and Board Certification
- Completed ACGME Residency training with current ABMS Board CertificationFellowship-trained in either adult reconstruction or orthopedic trauma
- Prior medical group and/or hospital leadership experience (3-5 years preferred)
- Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Dignity Health Arizona hospitals
- Must obtain Arizona State medical licensure prior to starting in the position
