ASSISTANT PROFESSOR Anatomy Faculty Position College of Osteopathic Medicine Touro University - California
Touro University - California, located on historic Mare Island in the northern San Francisco Bay area, is accepting applications for a full-time, 12-month, Assistant Professor faculty position in the Department of Basic Science (http://com.tu.edu/). Applicants must have a terminal degree (Ph.D., D.O., M.D. or dual degree) in anatomy or in a related field or will have completed all the requirements for their degree no later than the date of appointment. We are seeking a scientist or clinician with a substantial interest in medical education. A strong commitment to cadaver dissection and experience teaching in the anatomical sciences at the medical school level is needed. Additional experience in teaching clinically relevant neurobiological pathways or pathology is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will advance the educational mission within the Department of Basic Science and interdisciplinary educational initiatives in the College of Osteopathic Medicine and will contribute to a talented team of colleagues to teach human gross anatomy in the DO and MSMHS programs in large and small group classrooms and cadaver dissection laboratory sessions while also contributing to the design and evolution of our team-based learning education curriculum in the DO program.
