The majority of osteopathic physicians; however, practice primary care, with approximately one-fourth of the profession providing care in small communities and rural areas.
The Auburn Campus is located in Auburn, Alabama. As VCOM's newest educational partner, the collaborative partnership with Auburn University is much the same as the college’s relationship with Virginia Tech. Students have access to a variety of large university events from athletics to research and the arts; yet the VCOM campus itself offers the nurturing feel of the small private college. The campus is located on over 16 acres and includes walking paths and a lake with areas to relax and spend time outdoors.
