Hospice/Palliative Care Physician needed to care for our Veterans – Great Benefits!
The Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center located in Richmond, VA is searching for a BE/BC Internal Medicine/Family Medicine Physician with Fellowship training in Hospice/Palliative Care to join their dynamic healthcare team.
The facility has a 9 bed Community Living Center (CLC) based Hospice & Palliative Care unit
Clinical role will involve all 3 elements of the program. Academic role in education of Geriatrics & HPM fellows, affiliate faculty appointment at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and staff education.
Role involves daily rounds on HPC unit, in-patient consults and trainee education. HPC team has physicians, nurses, NP, SW, pharmacist, chaplain and rehab therapist. Physician will have a role in program development and quality improvement
Preferred Qualifications: Fellowship training in Hospice/Palliative Care highly desirable. Graduate Medical Education and inter-professional team education is desirable. Board eligible candidates expected to gain board certification at earliest opportunity.
Work Hours: 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday
